Environmentally Friendly Paints

Although traditional paints are still the most common types of paints, environmentally friendly paints are slowly increasing in popularity. Studies have shown that regular paints release toxic solvents into the air as they dry. These solvents are known as Volatile Organic Compounds or VOC’s for short, and can have both short term and long-term health risks. Short-term health effects can include headaches, fatigue, dizziness and blurred vision. The long-term health effects include lung cancer and kidney damage.

Where can you use these paints?

Environmentally or eco paints can be used anywhere regular paints are used. This includes interior and exterior painting. They are also available in a wide range of finishes.

You can select to have your property painted using environmentally friendly paints that have zero VOCs and are therefore completely non-toxic and safe to use around babies, pregnant women and the chemically sensitive.
